A Fraud Fighter by Olatubosun David

A Fraud Fighter

We hail thee!
O lion of the jungle
We hail thee!
King of the forest
We hail thee!
O giant among boxers
We hail thee!

You put your rivals on ropes.
Overwhelming weight of your veto glove
Declares you a champion
Against majority decision

Closing my eyes like I see nothing
Their holistic garb sweeps clean national dirt
Their homes packed with international dirt
Three things are sinful:
Stealing kulikuli
A contrary opinion
Freedom of speaking.
One thing is hallowed:
Electoral fraud.
A guard-dog of vengeance
A fraud fighter
Corruption combatant
Punching with the glove of malice
Boasting with boot of prejudice
Another justification of corruption.
A guard-dog guilty of corruption
Can only bark, not bite
Like the goose chasing shadow.
So they say
Nothing is corrupt
Where everything is corrupt.
