The Girl Who Would Not Cry │ Rachael Torty │ Poetry

Bitter disappointments
Knock like long lost relatives
And stay like hungry leeches
The girl would not cry

When her plans fall apart
Like a house of straw
And refuse to stand again
The girl would not shed a tear

They say that tears are for women
This girl pours her tears on paper
For her tears are diamonds to her Creator
After all, not all girls will cry
