For I can’t forgive you
As much as I try not to remember
It all keeps coming back
The pain, the shame
The tears, the fear
The anguish, the hatred
I had to live and cope with all these
The greater part of my life
I coped with the disgrace
Now on your deathbed
After realizing your wrong doings
You ask for my forgiveness
But as much as I want to
I can’t bring myself to forgive you
Now I have to ask for your forgiveness
